From humble beginnings in 1973 with only a handful of founding members, the club has steadily grown to become one of Australia’s largest bonsai clubs, with an average annual membership of 100 members.
Monthly meetings have bonsai demonstrations, discussions, or hands on workshops. Visitors are welcome at meetings. The society has an extensive library of bonsai related books and magazines. Every month members receive a newsletter which contains details of events and information about bonsai.
